My love of music began at the age of six when I began my study of the violin. My entire school life involved the study of music and I graduated from university in 1998. Since then I have been working with children and adults, teaching music and violin. From this experience, I discovered that everyone learns differently, and a teacher needs to be patient, finding different ways to make students understand. My goal as a music teacher is sharing my passion and love for music through interesting, engaging activities. Teaching various age groups has allowed me to adapt my lessons to the ability and interest of my students.
I grew up with the idea of being “a violin teacher". In my country, it was very important that all the children grow up with a musical education. When I came to Canada, I noticed that music was treated more as a pastime, for enjoyment purposes only. My upbringing emphasized the absolute necessity of having music in our lives; the fact that we will lead more enriched, fulfilled lives if we truly learn to appreciate the discipline and perseverance needed to succeed in this field. I love music and I would love to teach it in Canada, with all the passion that my teachers taught me!
Until now I have been teaching private lessons. I am looking forward to the opportunity of becoming a licensed teacher in Ontario and developing more professional teaching skills. I truly believe that with my professional background, outstanding academic schooling in the music field, and my innate passion and love for music, I could develop into a respected teacher, bringing the joy of music into children’s lives.
